New District Student

New District Student

Sometimes life takes us on an unexpected journey. For kids, that may mean a move to a new community, and thus, a new school.

Here at EES, we accept new district students throughout the academic year, August-May. These are students who have moved from a distant city or State to Ellsworth, Kansas. While it would be most beneficial for a student to start at the beginning of the academic year, our students and faculty will work diligently, together, to help them integrate into our community regardless.

Below are the steps to follow to transfer your student to USD 327:

Keep in mind, families of students living more than 2.5 miles from the nearest bus stop and are within the district territory, must indicate on their enrollment registration that they would like travel reimbursement. The District will pay mileage for trips made, not to exceed two round trips per day. New students who register during the school year have seven (7) days from the day of registration to notify the District Office that they qualify for mileage reimbursement.
