EES is keeping an eye on the weather for the track meet on the last day of school. We are working on some alternate plans should weather be a factor. A decision will be made by 8am on Thursday.
EES will be hosting a STEAMmaker Jr. Camp for all current Kdg-5th grade students on June 27-28. A letter with more information will be sent home today or tomorrow. The camp has a limit on the number of participants. Spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

The student publications department came away from the annual Kansas Scholastic Press Association's State Journalism contest Saturday in Lawrence with seven placings and a third place showing in the 2A sweepstakes competition. Courtney Wise took first in advertising. Taking second place were Shianne Svaty in editorial cartoon, Taylor Holecek in yearbook layout and Parker McGowan in student life photography. Holecek also took third in newspaper design. Nabbing honorable mentions were Svaty in editorial writing and Selena Carrazco in yearbook sports writing.
