STATEWIDE HOTLINE INFORMATION
KS HB2558 has established a statewide school hotline that will be staffed by the Kansas Highway Patrol. The purpose of the hotline is to give students an opportunity to report "impending school violence." Students calls will be received by a single statewide highway patrol dispatch center; then, transferred to local law enforcement who will relay the information to the local school administrator. SENIOR CITIZEN ACTIVITY PASSES
Senior Citizen activities passes for USD 327 patrons 65 years of age and over are available at the district office. This pass entitles you to free admission to locally sponsored school activities.
Kansas law requires that all students entering Kansas schools present proof of immunization for disease.
Whenever a student enrolls in USD 327 for the first time, proof of identity must be provided.
Proof of identity includes the child's birth certificate, social security card and immunization records. Please stop by the school district administrative office for first-time enrollments.
SCHOOL BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
USD 327 participates in the National School Lunch Program with breakfast and lunch offered at all 3 attendance locations. Free and reduced price meals are available to students whose family income falls within federal guidlines. Forms are available at all attendance centers.
USD 327 has selected the Student Insurance Plan from K&K Insurance Group to make reliable coverage available to parents. If you don't have insurance, this plan may be a resource to consider. Additionally, even if you have other coverage, this plan can help fill expensive "gaps" caused by deductible and co-pays. BAD WEATHER CLOSING
If bad weather forces the closing of the school, an announcement will be made by 7:00 a.m. on KSAL Radio, Salina. Information will also be posted on KWCH and KAKE television stations and the district facebook page. If school is dismissed during the day due to weather, notification will be available on those media providers.
Students who live more than 2.5 miles from the nearest attendance center and reside in district 327, are eligible for free transportation to and from school. Bus transportation will be provided on established bus routes; otherwise, mileage payments will be made.
Students from Ellsworth who live north of 8th street and attend Kanopolis Middle school should board the buses at Ellsworth Jr/Sr High School. Those living south of 8th street should meet the bus at Ellsworth Elementary School.
If you feel your child is eligible for busing or mileage reimbursement you should contact the district office at 785-472-5561.
MEDICINE AT SCHOOL
The school does not provide students with Tylenol or any other medicine School personnel may, in certain circumstances, dispense medication to a student. If this is necessary, parents must provide a physician written authorization for school personnel to dispense medication.

Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative
USD 327 is required to inspect its building for asbestos and to develop a management plan for those asbestos-containing materials that were located within its buildings. These management plans are available for review durning normal business hours at the district's administrative offices. These management plans have been implemented to meet requirements set forth in the regulations.
