Motion City Soundtrack's newest album, Even If It Kills Me, may
be the perfect spring album. I downloaded this last week on iTunes
and have been enjoying it ever since. If you have ever heard
Motion City Soundtrack, then you know to expect songs with a upbeat
tempo and well thought lyrics, along with some synthesizers. The
band doesn't really re-invent themselves with this album, but they do
write some really catchy songs. The album makes for some easy
listening because of their bright and cheerful tone. You should at
least buy this album to see if you like Motion City Soundtrack's style.

Lindsey says- This band is FANTASTIC! Say Anything's last
album impressed me, but their new release is even more heartfelt and
upbeat. "In Defense of the Genre" has a very different feel from the
band's past work, but these guys always work extremely hard to make each
song as unique as they possibly can. Say Anything's biggest asset is
their relatable nature. They utilize this when creating the catchy
lyrics they are known for. BUT... parents beware. This album is rather
explicit. The instrumental portions of the song are easily just as
impressive as the lyrical work. I say, "GOOD JOB, GUYS!" : ) Over-all Rating... 9/10 |

Bayside is one the best hard alternative rock bands that you have never
heard of, until now. They deliver heavy guitar chops with some
interesting vocals. I think that the thing that is most appealing
to me about the band is the lyrical content of the songs they sing.
Serious thought was definitely put into the writing of their songs.
Also, their guitarist is a extraordinarily talented musician and plays
some of the coolest solos I have ever heard. Music is a really hit
or miss thing so I understand if Bayside is not your cup of tea, but I
strongly recommend that you pick up Bayside's self-titled album
(pictured to the left) or at least buy "Devotion and Desire" on iTunes.
