Agnes Kepka grew up in Salina, Kansas. She attended Marymount College for two years and graduated with her BS degree from Fort Hays State University in 1969. She taught at Nickerson High School after graduation until 1973. She did substitute teaching in Ellsworth in the 1980’s and taught 9 weeks for the Lincoln School district. In 1992 she became the first Art Teacher at the Ellsworth Elementary School. In 2002 she started teaching at Ellsworth High School.Agnes currently sponsors the Ellsworth High School Art Club and the Junior class which is the class responsible for Prom.Her personal life centers around family. She married Terry, her best friend on March 3, 1973. They have three daughters, Amy who married Alex in 2005, Abby, and Anna who married John in 2007. Agnes also enjoys her friends, creating artworks, baking and gardening. One of her live changing events was being diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 1985. She loves being a survivor!!!
