Mr. Rankin grew up in Lawrence graduating with honors from Lawrence High School in 1982. He received his degree from The University of Kansas where he was named Outstanding Senior in Music Education, and accepted the position of Director of Music at Ellsworth High School in 1987. Mr. Rankin is a lieutenant on The Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department, and the Director of Music and Organist at The First Presbyterian Church. He married his wife Dina in 1990 and together they have two children, Josh and Laura.
