Ms.
Paula Bainter grew up in Oberlin, Kansas. She graduated from Emporia State
Teacher’s College in 1972 with a Bachelor in Music Education. She then applied
and was accepted to Emporia’s graduate degree program in Library Science. After
receiving enough graduate credit hours to certify as a School Media Specialist
she came to work for USD 327 as the media specialist for Ellsworth Elementary
School and Kanopolis Middle school. The following summer she completed her
Masters in Library Science. She continued to serve as the media specialist at
Ellsworth Elementary until 2003.
She is currently serving as the library media specialist for Ellsworth High School during the morning hours. She can be found at Ellsworth Elementary School in the afternoon. Ms. Bainter enjoys reading, gardening, surfing the net, and the company of assorted dogs, cats, chickens, fish, and birds.
