Q. How do I tell when my
child's books are due?
A. Books are due in two weeks. Your child places a date due card in the
book pocket. If the card is not there, just give the school library
a call.
Q. My child's books are
overdue. How much does the library charge for overdue books?
A. Nothing. We do not charge fines for over due books at the grade
school.
Q. The dog ate my child's
book. What next?
A. The library charges for damaged books. Return the remains of the
damaged book. The library will access the damage and charge a fee based
on the extent of damage. Fees run from 1/3 of the original cost of the
book for minor repairable damage up to the full cost of the book if it is beyond
help.
Q. My child has lost a book, and
we can't find it anywhere. Should I send money to pay for it?
A. If the book has been lost, the parents are expected to pay for the
replacement by the end of the year.
Q. How much does a book cost if
we have to replace it?
A. You are expected to pay what the book cost or what
it costs to replace the book, whichever is less. If the book is no longer
published, and is not available, the library will expect the original cost of
the book to be replaced.
